I never thought I could ever be free,
Or would have had freedom in my life.
My inner soul has yearned for it since.
You are probably glancing at why I long for it.
The world deprived me of my father’s love,
Being guided by my mother.
Should I say she was obsessed with me.
Every child played in the sun and sand.
I, only me was deprived of such privilege
I thought I could be free from her clingy obsessions.
Decided not to go further into higher education.
Instead, summon me to work far from home.
I do not hate her, I just don’t like how she made me.
She is still the woman who gave birth to me.
I still come home every day after work.
I admitted freedom is on the way.
Of course, freedom is on the way.
I had said I had given up on education.
Never did I give up, education is always the way.
I learned a lesson after working in the world.
Opportunity comes but once, I finally got admitted
I got admitted into my dream university outside
All I say is thank you freedom for coming to save me
Freedom, you made my life a memorable one
Thank you freedom, now I feel gratified in my life.
